Assaad Awad, a Spanish-Lebanese artist, displayed creativity from a young age. Growing up in Lebanon with limited exposure to creative resources, he drew inspiration from simple things, transforming them into tangible art. Without internet or fashion TV, he crafted his own fantastic world.

After graduating, working for 10 years and establishing his own advertising agency, a newfound passion emerged – accessories and wearables design. This marked a pivotal phase in his career, where he collaborated with and designed for icons like Lady Gaga, Madonna, Mugler Paris, The Royal Opera House Madrid, and Balenciaga with the Costume Museum.

In the present chapter, I embark on a mission to blend handcrafted and 3D printed elements, reinterpreting my timeless collections into hybrid pieces. This creative fusion breathes life into the past through the oldest craft, leatherwork, and embraces future techniques like 3D printing and 3D scanning – all while prioritizing sustainability. As a designer, I don’t just create for myself; I collaborate with other designers and clients, sharing my expertise and vision. Beyond crafting beautiful designs, I am committed to educating and mentoring the new wave of future designers and makers, ensuring a legacy of innovation and creativity.”
