The Mousharabieh Bag is an architectural, 3D-printed luxury handbag inspired by the Alhambra and Andalusian mashrabiyya latticework. Crafted in lightweight carbon fiber, it combines strength and lightness with a sculptural, transparent structure that plays with geometry, light, and shadow. Articulated with artisanal brass hinges and secured by discreet industrial-grade magnetic closures, the bag opens precisely while keeping its contents safely contained. Sustainably 3D printed on demand, the Mousharabieh Bag re-engineers architectural heritage into contemporary luxury.
The Mousharabieh Bag is an architectural, 3D printed handbag inspired by the Alhambra. It reinterprets the historic mashrabiyya lattice as a contemporary luxury object. In particular, the design draws from Andalusian architecture and its use of geometry, light, and shadow.
Traditionally, architectural screens filtered space and created intimacy. In this bag, that same language becomes wearable. As a result, geometry shapes the structure and defines the visual rhythm of the piece.
Using 3D printing in lightweight carbon fiber (500 grams only) the bag balances strength and lightness. Moreover, the lattice construction creates depth and transparency while maintaining a sculptural and precise form. This material also allows complex geometry without adding unnecessary weight.
Rather than reproducing heritage, the Mousharabieh Bag re-engineers tradition. For example, I start from the traditional technique of brass hinges, historically used in pieces inlaid with ivory and precious stones, and reinterpret it in my bags to preserve a handcrafted character. Today, that same logic translates into 3D printing and integrates ultra-strong, industrial-grade magnetic closures, discreetly embedded in the structure. Ultimately, architecture becomes tactile, technology remains discreet, and heritage evolves into contemporary luxury.
This product is sustainably 3D printed on demand and made specifically for each order. For this reason, returns and exchanges are not accepted, in accordance with made-to-order product regulations.
